A Pilgrimage of Sorts

These photographs were taken while at an artist residency in Assisi, October/November 2022.  This medieval Italian village is recognized not only as a sacred place, but also as the home of world renowned frescoes by artists such as Giotto, Cimabue and Simone Martini.  I journeyed to Assisi to experience both artistic and spiritual renewal.
